SecuritySage Overdrive Partners with Top Layer Networks to Provide Intrusion Prevention Solutions to Corporate and ISP Customers

April 24th, 2006

Top Layer Networks, the global leader for high performance intrusion prevention solutions, today announced a partnership with SecuritySage Overdrive (SSO), a managed security & solutions provider. Under the partnership, SSO will help protect its corporate and ISP customers by identifying and blocking attacks using the three dimensional protection of Top Layer´s IPS 5500.

“SSO delivers security excellence to its customers and adding Top Layer´s IPS 5500 to its solutions portfolio strengthens its ability to manage the increasing sophistication of cyber threats,” said Peter Rendall, president and CEO of Top Layer Networks. “We´re excited to add a dedicated company like SSO to our partner program, and help them deliver intrusion prevention excellence to their customers.”

SSO provides services focused on: information systems auditing, management, security, investigation and enforcement. The company also has global managed support, application development, and data management offerings. In addition to providing Top Layer´s IPS products to customers as part of its expertise and implementation offering, SSO uses Top Layer IPS 5500s in its own data centers.

“Our expertise in protecting our customers from spam, viruses and email attacks as part of our managed email solutions has caused the cyber criminals attacking our customers to turn to distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks. While our email protection systems were capable of handling all of the email sent through them, we identified an additional need for a solution to mitigate attacks outside the realm of email,” said Jeffrey Posluns, CIO, SSO Inc. “Top Layer´s IPS 5500 devices are now the front line in defending our data centers, which gives us the ability to focus on proactively securing our customers´ critical infrastructure and online resources.”
