one austria selects mobile cohesion’s hydra platform for intelligent automated partner relationship management

January 25th, 2006

Belfast – UK, January 25, 2006 – Mobile Cohesion, the company that has pioneered the concept of partner, profit and performance focused relationship management solutions for the telecoms industry, has announced that the Austrian operator, ONE GmbH, has selected its Hydra Partner Relationship Management system.

ONE identified a need for a partner relationship management system because of the steady growth of SMS, MMS and payment partners and services on its mobile network. The company expects to have hundreds of partners offering a rapidly increasing number of services over the network within the next two years. Therefore, the operator defined a technical requirement for an automated and intelligent partner relationship management solution to implement its partner focused business model. After a rigorous selection process, the Mobile Cohesion Hydra solution was chosen as a key enhancement of the company’s service delivery platform.

In common with other operators, ONE considers rapid implementation and provisioning of new partners and services, and reduced operating expenses related to partner management, as being critical. According to Christian Riener, Marketing Director at ONE, “we recognised that partner relationship management is a set of business processes – like many others. However, we were also aware that we were excessively dependent on manual processes to manage important partner relationships and profit opportunities arising from them. Our manual system was simply too prone to human error causing escalating internal costs given the growing volume of relationships and services being offered. But Mobile Cohesion and Hydra have given us the robust platform we were seeking.”

He continued, “We started working with Mobile Cohesion because we recognised that the company had developed a compelling partner and service management solution that would meet our immediate and future needs. ONE is committed to creating superlative relationships and processes for compelling services. Therefore, the Mobile Cohesion Hydra solution is perfectly suited to our business ambitions.”

According to Per Lindblad, CEO of Mobile Cohesion, “we are delighted to be working with ONE because the company appreciates that doing business in the mobile market is increasingly about relationships with content and service vendors and is investing in innovative technology to expand this area of their business.”

“When we developed Hydra we wanted to ensure from the get-go that we addressed the pain-points faced by operators like ONE. Therefore, our solution slots seamlessly into operators’ service delivery environments – defining downstream policies with legacy and next-generation network resources and upstream linkage with OSS and BSS. In short we plug a massive gap – defining and policing business processes and service levels for critically important third party relationships. And this results in better performing and more profitable relationships.”
