AppSense Continues To Strengthen Security Channel

June 26th, 2006

AppSense, a leader in endpoint security for the enterprise, today announced that IT-MPS, a Solutions Consultancy providing specialist services throughout the world has signed as an AppSense Gold Certified Solutions Partner (CSP). IT-MPS will offer the complete AppSense security suite to its base of customers within financial services, telecoms and utilities.

AppSense security solutions will form part of the ´Secure Infrastructure Services´ provided by IT-MPS in combination with AppSense training, consultancy and support services to new and existing customers.

With spyware and malware attacks becoming increasingly frequent and malicious in nature, traditional reactive security solutions can no longer be relied upon to stop all unknown and unauthorised code. A proactive approach is now required, to stop unknown threats, that does not rely on knowing the source or nature of a new threat in order to stop it.

“We recognise that AppSense is doing something very different in the security market and believe that proactive methods of defence are the only answer to real security,” commented Mark Connelly, Managing Director, IT-MPS. “Historically we´ve had great success in financial services and telecoms, but we´re also now keen to exploit AppSense´s technical know-how in the utilities sector too. We see AppSense products as offering the right mix of proactive security to complement our own ´Secure Infrastructure Services´.”

Tony Clarke, VP Northern Europe, AppSense, remarked, “At AppSense we are dedicated to providing exceptional security solutions to our customers, and that means giving them what they need right now – a proactive solution that stops unknown threats. This new channel partnership with IT-MPS is significant to us because of the value that they provide to their customers through their services. We know that our combined strengths make a compelling contribution to enterprise customers looking to secure on demand access to information and applications.”
