Monitoring for Insecurities, AirDefense Will Report on RF Space at Convention

ATLANTA–Nov. 30, 2004–AirDefense, the leader in anywhere, anytime wireless LAN security monitoring, today announced that the company´s CSO, Richard Rushing, will speak at the Wi-Fi Planet Fall 2004 Conference & Expo at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center in San Jose, CA. AirDefense will also be monitoring the show for wireless insecurities and demonstrating the AirDefense product suite, including AirDefense Enterprise, AirDefense Mobile, AirDefense Personal and AirDefense BlueWatch at booth number 614.

Rushing´s presentation takes place on Thursday, December 2, 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., as part of the “Securing the WLAN” track. Rushing will take an in depth look at the latest hacker initiatives providing an understanding of attack methodologies and demonstrations of current available countermeasures. A recognized IT security expert with 20 years experience setting security standards and policies for entire organizations, Rushing was most recently Chief Technical Officer of VeriSign´s Network Security Services division and previously served as a founder of SecureIT, an IT security services provider that was acquired by VeriSign in 1998.

For the fourth consecutive Wi-Fi Planet, AirDefense will be monitoring and reporting the RF space at the convention. At previous Wi-Fi Planet conventions AirDefense was the first to detect malicious attacks and exploits. The company will also be demonstrating it´s recently announced Self-Managing Wireless Protection System with Cisco Aironet Wireless LAN Infrastructure at AirDefense booth number 614.
